Hi all,

I have a list of applications listed in columns in row 1. Let's say Column A = Adobe Reader, the rows below it list the users with Adobe Reader installed.

I'm actually wanting to have the names in row 1 instead of the application name and list the different applications the name features in.

I can't for the life of me, seem to work out how to do this. I want to be able to then create a pivot table, for the names I pick and find out the applications they have installed.

Can anyone please help me as I have been scratching my head for ages on this one. I was told this forum was very helpful, so hoping to learn from your experience.

Thank you
Zahid

Hi,

I am not sure that I fully understand your problem yet so please bear that in mind.

However, from a data standpoint (i.e. logical database design) you really have two columns: Application and Name.

If you arrange the data like that an Autofilter will give you names for an app or a list of apps for a name directly.
Start from there and see if that helps.
