Hi All,

So today I have been sent a file and there is a merged cell (S50 & T50) which has a value of £900 entered as a value.

When I select the cell its shows as a count of 2, a sum of £1,800 and an average of £900.

This cell was merged before the data was entered as it is part of a master template that has been in use for a few years.
I always was under the impression that a merged cell will only ever take the top left value and all other cells behind are removed/cleared.

I have a copy of the original file with the issue but when i try to replicate the issue on another spreadsheet I have not been able to.

Please can someone explain to me what has gone wrong so that I can understand how this has happened.

Thanks in advance

Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
