My Styles dropdown has some really funky looking style names - NOT Good, Bad, Input, etc.

for some reason it now has a really odd list of available styles, many that start with "Currency" or "Data" but don't actually appear to be styles as much as they look like formulas.

oddest thing and no amount of Googling could figure it out. what gives?

can't take a screenshot at the moment. basically all the styles in the typical dropdown are completely different than what i'm used to seeing (i.e. the gradient colors and the Good, Bad, Neutral, etc.).

it's all quite strange.

i have not. however the styles are completely normal in my other files.

Ah, so it's just one file? Mmmm ... Are you able to test that file on another PC? maybe provide a link to it here via a file-sharing site? Which version of Excel are you using?

tested on another PC. same issue. what it seems like is ONLY custom styles are showing.

found someone with almost the exact same issue here:
