Only visible cells copy when filters applied

I have an Excel 2007 spreadsheet with several hidden columns, from which I copy and paste into another spreadsheet with the same structure. I want to copy the hidden cells so everything lines up on the new sheet. However, when I use Autofilter to select the rows I want, then highlight those rows and select Copy, only the visible cells are copied. If I remove the filter and manually select the same rows, all the hidden data copies.

I want to copy the columns that I have hidden manually, but I do not want to copy the rows that the filter has hidden automatically. Is this possible, or do I just have to find another way to work?

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
looks like a macro to temporarily unhide the column, copy, hide the column & paste ... ?
