Trying to open an excel 2007 workbook in excel 2013, I get the error message:
" We found a problem with some content in the file < file name.xlsm>. Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can? If you trust the source of the workbook click Yes. "
[YES] [NO]
After clicking YES , the following message appears :
Repairs to the< file name.xlsm>
"Excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content."
But conditional formatting and other features of the file are lost.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Having allowed Excel to "fix" the file and allow you to open it, what is the problem that you want help with ?

you can try opening it in safe mode and extracting any codes or whatever "other features" is being erased, but most likely you just need to recreate the formatting in the new version.
to open in safe mode hold ctrl when opening excel and it will prompt you for safe mode

unfortunately comparability mode is not available for 2007 so this and an online converter is all i could think of.
