Hi

I have several big excel reports that pulls data from a db via MS query. (100 000+ rows in each)
I use countifs formulas to show production volume based on parameters within the data.

This seems like an unefficient way to do this. First of all it takes a long time for excel to process it all.

Can anyone point me in a direction for a more efficient way to do this --> pull data from db and show results based on month, department, different product etc.??

Help is much appriciated :)

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
maybe change the SQL so that the returned result is already summarised how you want it

and/or don't return the data (to a worksheet) just make a pivot table

please ask if you want more specific help on these
