Okay, so I have a task, I have to learn Vlookup and I haven't used it in ages.

This is for work hence I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post up the numbers or too much data but I can explain what is going on.

I have a Data Set in my workbook, on a different sheet.

I am supposed to pull the number of ages (from over 1000 entries) and put the number of people from each age range, into predefined location.

I Use the usual VLOOKUP and for the first range where it should be ages 0 to 25, I only get a number that does not match the number I would get if I counted the entries of people aged 0 to 25 one by one manually.

I have also been told, use VLOOKUP only.

I am absolutely lost.

Please pity me, I feel unworthy.

My respects for those of you who have helped and learned, I am trying because you folks inspire me.

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
It worked! Thank you so much, you have helped greatly! I have been so demoralized by my inability to grapple with this.

I have also stopped practicing on Open Office Calc as the formulas don't translate over so well. The web Excel version was far far simpler.

Thank you so much for this, I am beyond words with gratitude! You've helped keep food on the table!
