Passing UDF From Access to Excel

Hi, I have a series of queries in Access that use a UDF I created. I'm trying to link these queries into an excel sheet via ODBC, but the data won't pass through because it doesn't recognize the UDF from Access. I just want to be able to refresh the queries from Excel to feed my report whenever I need.

Is there a way to get around this?

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
use Access to export the query to Excel sheet, (easy)
or
use excel to take control of access and open the query, then PASTEFROMRECORDSET. (hard)
or,
from excel, import the query (w broken function) then use macro to add the function in the column,(as excel UDF) (midway, kinda easy)

So basically the only solution is to break all of my tables in Excel because there is no way to pass-through the UDF? It was really nice just hitting the Refresh All button to refresh all of my queries and to have tables established with formula references to those tables. I'm trying to avoid having to modify every formula in my report to reference a completely new data set.
