Password Security a bit OTT ?

Hi All,

I have some spreadsheets that have a 'low strength' password because the the data is not in the realms of national security, but equally I would like to deter casual browsing.
If the password is broken at some point, than it is no big deal. At all.
I have a lot of spreadsheets with the same historical password, and a lot of authorised spreadsheet users that know the password. The password is quick to type as the files are used often.

However, when I try to save a new spreadsheet XL is not happy unless I provide a long cumbersome strong password, which in this situation is not required as per above comments.

How do I turn off the super_strenth_state_secret_s**t and just have a low strength casual password ?

It's not something that I've got, or ever used, so not sure exactly what it does, but it does deal with encryption so maybe why you are having to set secure passwords.
