hi,

I am looking to paste a value from one workbook to another.

When cell A2 = "A Value X" in workbook 1 I want it to copy the value from cell E6 and paste this into the workbook 2. The value should be pasted in the last empty row of the columnA containing the "A Value X" in workbook 2.

Similarly if A2 = "A Value Y" I want it to copy a value from H6 and paste into workbook 2 but this time in the last row of columnA containing "A Value Y"

the last row is needed because it will be the most recent and it is ordered monthly by date

There will be numerous values to copy and they will relate to different cells but i can add this in once i get the first bit of help :)

hugely appreciate any help

thanks
Tim
