Hello All,

I hope I have posted this in the correct section. I am not Excel savvy, i can do the basic formula but I am struggling with a pivot table.

I am using Excel 2007 and the main table is the following:

Customer/Project ID / Engineer ID / Start date / End date / Hours / Average hours Per Month.

Please be aware that a project can have many engineers on it and an enginner may be on many projects, so i need to count the unique values, so if an enginner is on 5 projects in a month, he is only counted once.

And i need to pivot table it to show:

Customer (filter)

Month (if a project is open that month) / Number of Projects (unique number) / Number of enginners (unique number) / sum of Average hours

All i can currently get it to show is the number of projects (count) that are opened per month, not the unique values or showing the month (so that it shows all projects that would be open)

Thanks in advance for any assistance

Note: I am unsure how to add a screenshot of the table to help

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
