Hi,

I have a report that is ran every night by our IT team. It has a pivot table that I cannot edit. But when I save, the Field Name not Valid error populates. Is there a way in VBA to bypass this error completely?

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Has one of the headers changed in the data? Change it back to what the pivot expects and it should fix.

Unfortunately we have no editing capabilities. I'm just opening it from the server and downloading it to my desktop, yet it won't do it without the error

You are going to need to speak to whoever created it and explain. If the headers are different from what the pivot is showing its going to error.

I ended up changing this workbook to active workbook.close and it bypassed everything and closed.

Thanks for your help.
