Possibly Quite Easy Situation with Pivot Tables; how do return a report of number of appearances of data items in the Worksheet?

How would one utilize a Pivot Table to return the number of occurrences of a feature in a worksheet or collection of data throughout the whole number of cells in the worksheet?
 

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
