Hi all, i am new to this site and hope i can explain this issue i have clearly enough for you to assist in helping me out. I am working on a spreedsheet where i have a list of vehicle model descriptions in one column and the appropriate margine percentage in the column next to it. On another sheet in the workbook i have a field that i require to show the amount of profit available. On that same sheet is a drop down box which the user selects the appropriate vehicle model from to write up the quotation.
So basically i need to know how to get the margin field to work out the margin amount based on the model selected?

Hope that is clear enough??

Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Welcome to the Board!

You can start with VLOOKUP, which will let you return values based on the DV selections.

For more specific help you might want to post a shot of your sheet (see the HTML Maker link in my sig for how).
