Say students get rewarded for attendance, there is a total reward of $1500 to be divided among 5 students. each student gets a point when missing attendance and receives less reward. Student 1 has 6 pointsStudent 2 has 2 pointsStudent 3 has 1 pointStudent 4 has 4 pointsStudent 5 has 14 pointswhat would be the formula to divide 1500 between the students according to their points? more points, less reward.

More detail is needed, as there is no "one way" to do this. The questions asked in that other thread are valid, and need to be addressed.

Student 1 has 6 pointsStudent 2 has 2 pointsStudent 3 has 1 pointStudent 4 has 4 pointsStudent 5 has 14 pointswhat would be the formula to divide 1500 between the students according to their points? more points, less reward.
In this particular example, please show us the expected results, and explain exactly how you arrive at those values.
Once we understand the logic to be used, we can probably help you come up with those formulas.
