Hi Everyone,

I have a large set of data in my excel spreadsheet with 9800 rows.

I want use RANKIF function by comparing two columns. when I am trying to solve the problem using the below function
=SUMPRODUCT(--(H2=$H$2:$H$9692),--(AZ2<$AZ$2:$AZ$9692))+1
it shows me a value error. I think due to huge set of data because the same formula work fine for smaller set of data.

Is there is any way to solve this issue.

Please help me out!

Thanks in advance :)

Arun

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
If you are on a post 2003 system, try:

=COUNTIFS($H$2:$H$9692,H2,$AZ$2:$AZ$9692,">"&AZ2)+1

instead for CountIfs is supposed to have a better temporal (efficiency) score than SumProduct.

You can indeed check for a #VALUE! error with:

=COUNTIFS(AZ:AZ,#VALUE!)

Note. COUNTIFS for ranking (the first formula above) is indifferent to such an error intermixed with other nob-error data..
