hi im trying to do a multiple regression analysis with lagged variables but everything i try excel says i need the same amount of x and y ranges.

example
A B C D
RGDP RGDP-1 RGDP-1^2 RGDP-1^3
1
2 1 1 1
3 2 4 8
4 3 9 27

Was just wondering how i would be able to do this since there are no values in row 1 B, C, D it will not go through with the regression analysis.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Just restrict your range starting at your 2nd data point for both X's and Y's in your regression. By design your first Y value has no measurable X-1 value as a predictor.
