Replace Number with Another Number

i would like to replace my specific first two-digit number to another number, here a sample REPLACE FORMAT.xlsx

=REPLACE(A2,1,2,6)

Wouldn't that change number into text by default?

Just checking.. are your first two digits always 60? If not, then you will need to use something like this...

=IF(LEFT(A2,2)="60",0+REPLACE(A2,2,1,""),A2)

Yep, but can still be used as a number...

or
=SUBSTITUTE(A1;LEFT(A1;2);LEFT(A1;1);1)*1
