Search entire column data in a another column

I have column A with random data alpha and alpha numeric. Column C with specific orderly data. I need to search value of column C exists in any section of column A. If yes then it should highlight in column B and update the the value.

In that case I don't understand why you would get the #NAME? error, as that means Xl does not recognise the function name

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

It worked, earlier i entered the code in the sheet1 excel object module, now i entered in standard module...thank you so much
