Good Morning,

I am attempting to count the number of Cells which contain a specific text string and fall within a date range. The formula I have right now is as follows:

=IFERROR(COUNTIFS(C:C,"*&A385*",AP:AP,">=E385",AP:AP,"<=F385"),"ERROR")

C:C contains the range with text in which I am hoping to find the string.
AP:AP contains dates.
A385 contains the text string
E385 contains the date range start date
F385 contains the date range end date

I tried performing a search, apologies if this is here already as I struggled to find a solution which matched this request.

Thank you in advance.

Michael

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Apologies, I have resolved the issue. I missed out a couple more ampersands.

Working formula is:

=IFERROR(COUNTIFS(C:C,"*"&A385&"*",AP:AP,">="&E385,AP:AP,"<="&F385),"ERROR")

Thanks,

Michael
