Hi
I am reading about the differences between these 2 function (http://www.excel-easy.com/examples/substitute-vs-replace.html).

I thought substitude() function can replace the replace() function and no need to use replace() at all.

Can you give me one example that I can not do it without using Replace() function?

Thank you so much.

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Re: substitude() vs replace()

"I want to add a dash to a string after the third character. e.g. ABC123 become ABC-123. Note that ABC and 123 may change, they might be any character. The rule is after the third character"

(And yes you could do this with a monster array formula that is silly complicated.)
