Hi,

Wonder how I can substring multiplie values from an cell - can't get it work!
Dateformat is like: 01.12.2012.

My script is like: date = Right("cels.......",4)

With this I only get 2012 wich is logic - but how can I solve this so I get this output and format: 2012-12-01.

better to use mid function or?

Thank u guys!

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Try, then format cell to 2012-12-01
=DATE(RIGHT(A1,4),MID(A1,4,2),LEFT(A1,2))
or
=DATEVALUE(SUBSTITUTE(A1,".","/"))
