I know I can use an indirect formula to sum across sheets in the same workbook, but is there a way to sum across workbooks, using the same tab name and same cell?

Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Yes I believe you can, place the workbook name's in square brackets before the sheet name, like so:

Code:
=SUM([Book1]Sheet1!$A$1, [Book2]Sheet1!$A$1)
