sum() and subtotal() give me 0

I tried to find the sum() of the last column (please see the link below) but got 0. I tried subtotal() but it give me 0 too. I tried to change the format of the cells in the column from custom to general but again the same result 0. Why is that? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you

The range does not consist of true numbers. Run the following recipe to convert these text numbers into true numbers:

1. Copy the unused cell G1.

2. Select the target cells.

3. Paste Special > Add
