Sum of drop down selections(text) among pages

Hello,

I appreciate any help I can receive on this.

1-I have a drop down list of text. How do I add a numerical value of '1' in order to then sum drop down selections? (if this is a necessary first step)
Currently the list starts in A1 and continues down in the A column on a separate page from the drop down cells

2-on a summary page, I am trying to total all the selections (in column CA starting at CA4 continuing down) from pages 1-5 where the drop down is used, all in CA starting at CA4.

Portion of the list-
Beauty
Child Services
Consulting
Counseling/Coach
Finance
Fitness
Home Improvement/ Maintenance
Mortgage Broker
Realtor
Retail
Social Events/Networking
Wellness

If I understand you, you want to count the number of times a certain phrase is selected in several worksheets. if so, try,

=SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF(INDIRECT("'"&sheets&"'!CA4:CA100"),A1))

Where sheets is a named range housing your worksheet names and A1 your count criteria

I apologize. I will explain the whole thing.
We collect data from guests at an event. Of the guests that buy packages, I take the data and input it on pages based on their package purchase (5 packages=5 pages of data).
One of the pieces is the industry/field they work in.
For this, I have a drop down selection starting at CA4 on each page.

My hope, is that on my summary page, I can have a list of all the industries, and beside each one, have a total of how many people are from that industry (broken down by package(page).
