Greetings,

I am currently working on a project with 1500 workbooks. As each workbook is updated, a column in the tracking status of each workbook is changed to "Complete" using data validation.

At the bottom of the worksheet, formulas are written to give the percentage of each catagory: "Not started", "In progress", Under review", "Clarification required", "Complete".

I am wanting to have a graph that tracks the status of the "Complete" percentage as a function of the date. This will show management what the progress is each day. I can manually enter the percentage each day, but if I forget, I will miss that day's progress.

In a seperate column, I have entered every date from now until the end of the project as the X axis of the chart, now I just need to figure out how to capture the % of the "Completed %" cell each time I open or close the workbook, and put that value in a column next to the corresponding date.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Can't you just put an if formula in the required cells based on >= date?
