Trouble installing 64bit Power Query in Excel 2010

I use Excel 2010. I recently changed from 32bit Excel to 64bit. I've been able to re-install PowerPivot ok, but when I try to install Power Query (downloaded from Access Denied) a warning appears:

Microsoft Power Query for Excel (x64) requires Microsoft Excel 2010 SP1 or Microsoft Excel 2013. Please install Microsoft Excel 2010 SP1 or Microsoft Excel 2013

Does anyone know of a work around other than re-installing Excel 32bit or upgrading to Excel 2013?

My guess is that you installed Excel 2010 from a retail package. My guess is you then removed 32bit and installed 64 bit. The message suggests you need to upgrade to Service Pack 1. I assume you can search for this online.

I've got Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 installed, but just found out it is the original RTM release: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au...-service-pack-level-of-your-office-2010-suite, so will have to see if I can have SP1 installed.
