Hi...want to know.. If any cell in Column "A" has any text, then unlock that entire row for editing. For example, if cell "A3" has text, so All I want that the entire row 3 to be unlocked for editing.

Von. I really appreciate your help. Again a last question :) . How to code for "column A is set to unlocked, and that all other remaining columns are locked."

Excel Facts

Can Excel fill bagel flavors?
You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
You should apply that as part of the sheet setup rather than part of the routine, otherwise you will be locking the columns of previouslly unlocked ones where the corresponding value in A is not null.

Highlight the entire sheet.
Go to Format Cells (CONTROL+1)
On the protect tab make sure Locked is checked.

Highlight column A
Go to Format Cells
On the protection tab make sure Locked is unchecked
