use named cell value in macro on another worksheet

I've searched the site and cannot find an example of anyone using a named range (e.g:Current_Status) that is situated on a sheet (eg: Summaries) being compared against vaules in row 1 of another sheet (e.g: projects) and select the relevant column - can anyone help?

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Sort by date Sort by votes
If I am reading correctly, you dont need to refer to the sheet name when referencing a named range...

If you use a VLOOKUP for example, you will simply say =Vlookup(value you are looking for, named_range,column index, row index, false)

I think it will work like that....
