Insert a monthly column for a bonus scheme where if a salesperson equals or exceeds 12% commission for the month then they receive an additional $1,250, (This can be achieved by combining the IF and a VLOOKUP statement.) The % of commission and the amount of bonus on offer will vary every quarter. Ensure that this is taken into account when designing the spreadsheet by positioning the amount and the % in separate cells at the top of the worksheet data

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
This sounds like either homework or a work assignment so I'll be vague and to the point, lest there be additional requirements we don't know about. And I don't like doing homework for people.

It really depends on how the sales data is laid out. If it's summarized: =if(vlookup(X, Y:Y, 4, 0) >= 12% [variable], $1,250, 0

If, instead, it's transnational in nature, I would use a SUMIFS or AVERAGEIFS formula.
