VBA sum cell and variable

 px2 = ActiveCell.Offset(i, 1).Value + p1
    px2 = px1

The above code is part of a FOR loop function. Why does this retun "mismatch", and any thoughts on how to fix it?

i just ran this using

i = 1
p1=3

and it did not stop


waht are i and P1

also why not just px1 =

Might be better if you submit your whole code. Did you define your variables. Is one defined incorrectly?
