Hello All,

I have been pulling my hair trying to figure out a formula that would work. Here's my issue: I have a database that keeps track of all material purchase for any specific day. Each material type is assigned a code. I have another worksheet that keeps track of the "selling" price of these codes also by day (date).

I need a formula that would match the date and code and return the selling price price for that code. The goal is to calculate the difference between purchase price and selling price. Can someone please help me?

Attached a workbook sample. Thank you in advance!

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
