What did I change ?

Hey guys
This is going to seem like a dumb question but What the heck did I change in my Excel spreadsheet ? Ever since i started using Excel when you click highlite a bunch of cells it will always give me the TOTAL of all the cells I highlite .. for some odd reason now I get the "MAX=" and it gives me the highest number instead of the total ??? somehow I must have changed a setting .. but i have no idea what or how to correct it.
I dont rememver even browsing around where i could have inadvertantly changed something..
Any help will be appreciated

Hi

Right-clickon where this max appears on the status bar and this should give you a dialog from which you can change the selection back to Sum

Thanks ,.. I never knew that you could change it there .. i knew it had to be something simple
