When I close the last workbook, it unloads my custom add-ins containing my macros. How can I stop this? It is happening with all versions of excel from 2010 to 365.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Where are you add-ins stored? Do they start up automatically? For this to work properly, your add-ins should be stored in C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns

I have placed the workbooks containing the macros in the folder C:\Users\DMAKUMBI\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns but they do not load up. When I try to load them using File>Options>Add-Ins>Com Add-Ins, I get the message that they are not valid Office Add-Ins. The macros are in Excel workbooks.
