Hi,

I am using excel 2010 with parallel virtual window on mac. I am getting a strange problem. If I open two workbooks by double clicking on icon, they don't recognize each other, meaning I can't refer a cell on one worksheet to a cell on another worksheet. I press "=" in a cell and activate the other workbook, the formula-bar doesn't show the path, in fact if I select a cell in this book, it shows the contents of that cell. Also if there is a pre-existing formula, it doesn't update; the path also doesn't vanish (in the formula).

But instead if I open one book and then open another by ctrl+O, both books show in one window and the formulas update. So everytime I have to open by pressing ctrl+O and can't open by double clicking the file. Please help me solve this problem.

Thanks

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Hi,
Just to simplify the question, I want to open multiple excel files through windows explorer in same instance, but in multiple windows. I have already tried options>advanced>general> uncheck "ignore other applications....dde.." and the registry entries show /dde suffix. Also tried excel.exe/(un)regserver. Nothing helped.

Thanks
