Different Total in Excel versus Calculator

I'm getting different totals in excel than I am in calculator

Example:
Excel 39% * 436.23 = 168.5797
Calculator 39% * 436.23 = 170.1297

What am I doing wrong? Ive tried the ROUND and ROUNDUP function but it never rounds up to 170.1297

I get the 170.1297 in excel.

How do you have the cell fomatted?

170.1297 is correct. Perhaps you have Excel on manual calculation. If so, set calc to Auto (Formulas>Calculation>Calculation Options>Automatic).

When I manually put it in I get the 170 but what I'm doing is
Cell P8(436.23)
Cell C11(39%)

I put in =P8*C11 thats when i get 168.5797

Format both cells as numbers with 15 decimal places. What do both cells show?

it shows the same thing but with 15 decimal places, totals don't change

Are you saying that the percentage cell shows exactly 0.390000000000000.

I ask because I get 168.5797 if the percentage cell contains 38.64469%

I apologize I didn't do the decimals on the 39% when i do that i get

38.644688644688600%

The way I get that # is:
P4 (422)
P7 (1092)

=P4/P7
