Copy/Paste Formula into Entire Column but Stop at Blanks

I have copied several formulas into entire columns that I'd like to use as an automatic template for future data that might be shorter or longer. The issue I'm having is that the formula continues down even when there is no data and returns the value of 0. This process slows down the whole spreadsheet and also makes it a huge file size. The only way I've sort of dealt with it is by filtering out the 0. There is probably some simple solution to this but I cannot think of it nor find it anywhere through a google search or a search on here yet.
