Import/Update table question

Hello all, hope I can explain this easily enough. Is there a way for a user to be able to pull data from one table into another using a VLOOKUP and the table where the data gets pulled to can be updated and it goes back to the original location?

I.E. My sheet has a master entry table for all kinds of sales data, the user uses a drop down list to select February to import February's sales numbers into the master table, makes updates on the master table and it goes back to Feb? User can then select "March" and the table will clear out, import March's numbers for user entry and so on.

If it matters, the tables are all formatted the same. Hopefully this isn't too confusing. Thanks!
