I'm a novice with excel. I've used it very basically and am trying to expand the near limitless potential. I have a question. We have a spreadsheet with multiple inputs in different columns with assigned values. I'd like to be able to tally each common input and value over the entire sheet. As well as have the ability to add different variables to the summary column. Thanks for any and all help.

B	50	C	20	A	23	A
C	10	D	50	C	10	B

Note though that if you have "A" in three different columns, you may need to do three SUMIFS (one for each column) and add them together, i.e.

=SUMIF(A:A,"A",B:B) + SUMIF(C:C,"A",D:D) + SUMIF(E:E,"A",F:F)
