SumIf function with Time

I am having trouble using the SumIf function with times.

I have a column of times, and a column of values:

8:00	1
9:00	2
10:00	3
11:00	4
12:00	5
13:00	6
14:00	7

<colgroup><col width="64" style="width:48pt"> <col width="64" style="width:48pt"> </colgroup><tbody>
</tbody>

I wish to calculate the sum of the values associated with times of noon or later.
I am using the following formula:
=SUMIF(A$1:A$7,">=TIME(12,0,0)",B$1:B$7)

How many things am I doing wrong here?
Please advise.
