Hi folks, used this forum for ages but had to register as I'm not sure on how to articulate what I need in order to search for it.

So I have a master project tracker with thousands of rows. When I get an update, they can be in 50's or higher. They also come in via excel. So is there a way I can filter my master list to just show the names I have been sent that's in another tab?

Right now I'm Ctrl-F one at a time and takes forever.

Thanks in advance

Coldor

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
You could use an advanced filter and just use the list in the other sheet as the criteria, assuming the two headers match. You could also add a COUNTIF, MATCH or other formula to test if the names match anything in the other list and then autofilter on the result.
