Good morning all,

I have a problem I've been trying to solve for a while and I can't seem to find a good way to do it.

I have survey data which needs to be visually represented in charts.

Participants are asked a number of questions and can answer 1-6 (1 being the lowest, 6 the highest) for each. Scores above 4 are considered positive, scores above 5 are considered very positive.

I need to find a way to use a show what % of the surveys were positive and what % of the surveys were negative.
What I don't want to do is show is show what % scored 1, what % scored 2, what % scored 3 - that I can do.

I wanted to do this in a pivot so the data can then be sliced with other parameters relating to the respondent.

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Create a calculated field (test value -4) which produces positive or negative results. Add additional calculated fields as needed appropriate to your specific needs.

You might just be able to set a grouping from 4.5 to 4.6
When ever I see percentages or specific groupings, I believe your are in PowerPivot territory. Even when not necessary it can be best because certain measures just won't work right for certain grouping/subgrouping.
