Exclude Weekends from a Chart?

The x-axis labels for my chart are dates (ex. 8/9)

The data source is (8/1, 8/2, 8/3, 8/6, etc.). There are no weekends in the data source. However the chart has added weekends, and there is no data for weekends. This makes the chart look funny.

Any suggestions.

Use text versions of your dates created with
=TEXT(ref,"m/d") instead of the datevalues that
you're currently using.

Thank you. That will work.

I was also told of another way by a friend. In the chart options, axes tab, you can simply click on category instead of automatic.
