create a combo box problem

first sorry cause my english is very poor..
second i'm very new to excel so please
be patient withe me
my question is i need to create a a list box or
a combo box..i don't know
which is suitable..
let's say i want to put my combo/list box
in A5...i want to put my selection on A1:A4..
the problem is i don't know how to create this list/combo
box...i don't know how to write down the code..can someone
help me..what i want to know is when user click in A5,
is they find a selection and they can scroll and can select
the optional data that i have put in cell A1:A4..can you
guys understand my question cvan u guys help me.please..

Hi,
What you want to do is go to the cell that you want the dropdown box in. Then go to Data --> Validation. Where it says Allow:, you want to highlight List. Then another entry box shows where you can enter in the source. In your case you would enter A1:A4. If you click the little box at the end of the entry field it will let you highlight the cells instead of entering them in. I hope this gets you started in the right direction. Let me know.
