I'm looking for a quick way to compact a worksheet by deleting all blank rows from a range.

Use AutoFilter

AutoFilter doesn't "sort out" -- it filters based
on a criteria and displays rows that match that
criteria. So, you could use a "Blanks" criteria
on each of your columns to find blank rows.
Once filtered you can then Delete these rows
without affecting the remainder of you worksheet.
Thus, your worksheet row count is systematically
reduced.
