Pick from Pulldown within Cell

I apologize for asking such a remedial question, but I can't figure this out or find it in archives.

For timesheet use, how can user select from pull-down list of possible choices within single column?

Bill,

Select the cell you want and then use the Data pull down. Select Validation. Select Time from the Allow Option.

Thanks for the help, Ed!

What I am trying to accomplish is that on the timesheet I am doing the employee picks one job out of a list of several options... eg pull down has picks for Analysis, Authoring, Illustration... they select from the list, and that gets populated into the cell...

I will keep testing with the validation options... your help is greatly appreciated!

Under validation, choose list, and select the cells that make up the list... viola pull-down I was after.
