I tried "Application.DisplayAlerts = False" and that did not work. I don't understand what you mean with your first solution.

I thought you mean opening *another* book with a macro, i think what you want to do is open just one book that has links, right ? (By the way, didn't need to repost, i had already seen it)

If so, i think the only solution is to change the Options (Data, options), in the Calculate page, uncheck "update remote references"

No, I'm opening an excel file and the message appears about automatic links. I want the user to be able to go directly to work without worrying about any messages or open file pop-ups.
