How can you show last saved date in a worksheet?

I am so stupid at this! I have to come up with someway to solve this problem or my boss is going to fire me! Can anyone help me? I would be very gratefull!

He wants me to show the last saved date on a worksheet. He is growing very inpatient and I don't want to have to sleep with him again to 'smooth' this over.

Jill,

Give this a go. On the Excel icon (the on right next to File) right click and select View Code. Then use this code:-

Private Sub Workbook_BeforeSave(ByVal SaveAsUI As Boolean, Cancel As Boolean)
'Obviously change this to meet your requirements i.e. sheet name, cell
'and the date time format.
Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A1").Value = Format(Now(), "dd-mm-yy hh:mm")
End Sub

Hope this helps,
Dax.
