fix' cells in XL sheet so tab or RET only move to given cells

IS there a way that you can 'fix' a given number od cells so that you can only enter data in these cells and pressing TAB or RETURN will only allow the cursor to move to these cells, not default one place right or one place down?

Gareth: All you need to do is unlock the cells you want to be able to enter into, leaving the remainder locked (Format,Cells, Protection Tab).

Now when you protect the sheet,(Tools, Protection,Protect Sheet)(Password optional), the Tab key will move only to unlocked cells.
