making gridlines visible

hi there,

I have several charts created. I'm importing them into WORD. Because I want to put many on one page, I remove the chart area border and set the fill to None, so I can move them very close to one another in WORD. this works very well and I like it.....now to my question...

In excel, when I take out the chart fill and border, I can see gridlines behind graph and this makes the graphs harder to see clear while working on them...so I change the cell fill to another colour....this works good but the grdlines are not visible when I fill the spreadsheet celss with colour.

Is there any way to make the gridlines semi-visible using a different colour for the background? Sorry for the long explanation.

thanks

Choose the cells you want gridlines on and hit Format-Cells-Borders. Choose a light-gray border.
